Despite hemp oil becoming so popular, that oil is rich in the fatty acids linoleic acid (LA and omega-6) and alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
They’re not rich in EPA and DHA and therefore need to be converted, but they do that very inefficiently.

Omega-3 fatty acids, and in particular, EPA and DHA, been shown to improve mobility and reduce inflammation and pain, in dogs and cats. The most bio-available source of EPA and DHA is fish oil.
Common outcomes:
DHA in particular supports brain health, helping to improve learning ability and memory.
Cod & Plum is combined with native Kakadu Plum and Davidson Plum extracts. They're both helpful for fighting oxidative stress and supporting brain health.

In addition to having an antioxidant capacity more than times that of blueberries, Kakadu Plum is also rich in vitamin C, with about 100 times more than an orange. Vitamin C acts as both an antioxidant and antiradical and has been shown to help support joint heath.

yes they can, and it will be beneficial for both.
Just add daily or a few times a week to food, using a teaspoon. And, yes, you can overdo it.
The reported dose range of omega-3 fatty acids is 230 to 370 mg of EPA and DHA/kg of body weight for dogs with osteoarthritis. It should be noted that the safe upper limit of EPA and DHA recommended by the National Research Council, is 370 mg/kg of body weight0.75 for dogs, so that amount should not be exceeded.
My Belgian Shepherd loved the oil as I mixed it up in his raw meat with the Bestie Raw Food Balancer and he just gobbled it all down. No more hesitating when he jumps on the bed or couch and he takes a flying leap now into the backseat of the car!! I was thinking that it was just about time to take him to the Vet for some arthritis meds but I would try this oil first! WOW, what a significant difference in his demeanor, movement, and attitude. Obvious changes were noticed after 2 weeks of daily additions to his evening meal. Great product - Bestie has solved yet another expensive issue for the arthritic dog who is now no longer arthritic OR stiff after sleeping! Unbelievable! Always have some in my fridge and am wondering if I should take a swig or two as well! Lol ;)
That is awesome!!! Glad to hear (and yes, I get a bit tempted myself...especially when I read about the good things Davidson Plum also does for the BRAIN...just saying...)
Perfect ingredients. No shortcuts taken with any Bestie products. These are the real deal.
Great to hear!
I have been adding this oil to his food daily for almost a month and my dog is becoming very puppy-like (he's actually 8 years old).
He's chasing balls, frolicking with other dogs and seeking cuddles. It's lovely to watch.
Unfortunately my cats are all ferals, and incredibly picky about what they eat. I tried adding this blend to their wet food, and they wouldn't touch it. However, don;t let this put you off the product, my cats are just awkward, they get nothing from catnip either :-)
What a shame! Most cats like that fishy smell and taste...and it's so good for them too. Thanks for letting us know.
Unfortunately this oil seemed to upset my dog's stomach
Sorry to hear that! Did you mix it in with food?

The HYPOALLERGENIC Balancing Topper for Dogs has made a world of difference for my dog's health. After following the advice of a holistic vet, we switched her protein to venison and fish, and have been using this topper for the past 8 months. The results have been incredible—she's lost weight, her skin issues have cleared up, and her digestive problems are completely resolved. Now, she's full of energy and running around like a puppy again. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to improve their pet's overall health!
That's fantastic news...I'm so glad to hear that. It's also a good reminder that some things don't resolve overnight and need some persistence...good job all round from you and the vet.
Big plus is that she eats it as she can be a fussy Cavoodle 11 months old. I am reassured that she is receiving her essential nutrients
That's excellent to hear!!
Very good and Missy seems to like them thanks
That's great to hear! Thanks...
Bonnie loves these. Still early days. She wishes they are bigger.
She seems to be calmer.
That's great to hear that she loves then and she seems to be a bit calmer...and re size, yes, trying to suit the small dogs as well as the larger ones...sorry!
These have worked well on my dog. She is no longer over-reacting, pacing and panting with anxiety. They will not make your dog sleepy or "dopey" they simply take the edge of their anxiety. They were quite hard for my dog to chew. She is a soft mouthed dog who doesnt like to chew much. I simply put the chew in the microwave for 20 seconds, let it cool a little, and then I either give it to her whole or crumble it on her food. She likes the taste.
That is excellent!!! Thanks so much fr sharing that...and invaluable tip for those who find it hard to chew.❤️
