The HYPOALLERGENIC Balancing Topper for Dogs

The easy way to make nutrient-packed complete and balanced meals for dogs with gut or skin sensitivities, at home. Just add meat.

How much should I feed my dog?

    Size: 500g
    Australian made & owned
    Nutritionist formulated
    VET recommended

    Ideal for gut & skin

Rashes, itchy skin and sensitive tummiesare becoming more common. Here's how the Hypoallergenic can help:

    • Algimun, biologically active marine algal extracts that strengthen innate and adaptive immune responses and enhance the barrier function of the intestinal mucosa.
    • Spirulina, a blue-green algae that enhances immune and gut health
    • Sunflower and hempseedsfor omega 6 & 3 fatty acids to promote coat and skin health
    • Olive fruit extract, rich in polyphenolic compounds to act as a prebiotic (along with carrot fibre), and an antibacterial
    • Cod liver oil and algae for DHA & EPA fatty acids to reduce inflammation and support joint and brain health
    • Sunflower lecithin for choline from to support neurological health and help absorption of essential fatty acids
    • Nutritional yeast for B-complex vitaminsto help reduce inflammation
    • Pumpkin, carrot, shiitake and kelp for key micronutrients

Nutritional yeast, ALGAECAL algae-based calcium, sunflower meal, NINJIN carrot fibre, pumpkin powder, carrot powder, cod liver oil, ALGIMUN algae-extract, olive fruit extract, shiitake mushroom powder, spirulina, DHA GOLD algae extract fatty acid, hemp protein powder, iodised salt, mixed vegetable powder (cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower), seaweed meal, nettle.

    Metabolisable energy 3364kcal/kg, protein 15%, fat 16%, fibre 18%, ash 5%.

Just add water, meat, mix and serve. When you're in the swing, you'll think it's as convenient as biscuits from a bag. (But better for health.)

    You can also:

    • Make in bulk, and freeze.
    • Lightly cook with meat, with no impact on nutrition.

Most dogs love Bestie Hypoallergenic. But if you're having trouble, try these tips:

    • Transition more slowly
    • Lightly fry to bring out the flavours
    • Add a little nutritional yeast - available from the supermarket
    • Mix in a little yoghurt

No you don't. When Bestie is added to muscle meat in the right quantities, it makes a complete and balanced meal. That said:

    • Note that if you want to feed poultry meat, you will need to add offal. The table below gives the ideal mix of offal to poultry meat.
    • If you're going to feed bones, don't add the bestie in that meal. We've already got calcium and phosphorous, covered.
    • If you want to add extra veg, you can, but again, that's optional and note required.

How much should I feed my dog?

For adult dogs, the Bestie Hypoallergenic is always 10% of the meal. The overall quantity depends on the protein source. That's because different meat proteins provide a different amount of metabolisable energy. We take that into account, when we provide a feed guide.

The feed calculator below is based on feeding your dog, twice a day. It shows a per meal quantity, in grams.

Note that if you want to feed poultry meat, you can. However, it needs to be 70% offal (eg hearts) and 30% poultry meat, to be balanced.

The Hypoallergenic is not suitable for puppies.

What was the reason you switched to bestie...was there something going on health-wise?:: Lots of health issues, skin issues that just wouldn't go away. It was super stressful.
    Help my dog's gut

The HYPOALLERGENIC Balancing Topper for Dogs has made a world of difference for my dog's health. After following the advice of a holistic vet, we switched her protein to venison and fish, and have been using this topper for the past 8 months. The results have been incredible—she's lost weight, her skin issues have cleared up, and her digestive problems are completely resolved. Now, she's full of energy and running around like a puppy again. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to improve their pet's overall health!

That's fantastic news...I'm so glad to hear that. It's also a good reminder that some things don't resolve overnight and need some persistence...good job all round from you and the vet.
