Health benefits

After a while on the bestie Allrounder, people report their dogs have more energy and typically lose weight and become leaner. Plus, their coats are shinier, their guts are happier, and their poos are smaller and less stinky. Now that's a good thing!

The extra nutrients in the Allrounder also help with inflammaging: a chronic stimulation of the immune system and reduced ability to respond to infections or stresses.Ageing dogs get it, just like people.

Here's how the Allrounder can delay and reduce the inflammaging effect:

  • Made with Pro'Age,™ a clinically proven blend of cloves, turmeric, rosemary and grapefruit that protects cells from oxidation and inflammation as pets age, and helps prevent cellular ageing.
  • Antioxidant powerhouse LycoFibre® - with an ORAC antioxidant score about twice as much as blueberries - plus wheatgrass, to fight oxidative stress and inflammageing.
  • Algae-extract Algimun®for gut health and stress resistance.
  • Powerful prebiotic NinjinFibre® and postbiotic TruMune® for gut health.
  • More of the really beneficial fatty acids, EPA and DHA from green lipped mussel and cod liver oil, to help reduce inflammation, and keep joints working healthily.

MCHA bone meal, LycoFibre,® wheatgrass, cod liver oil, hempseed meal, AlgaeCal,® nutritional yeast, beef bone broth, natural  avour, shiitake mushroom, carrot powder, Ascophyllum Nodosum seaweed, organic pumpkin, sweet potato, mixed vegetable powder, green lipped mussel, iodised salt, TruMune,® sun ower meal, NinjinFibre,® nettle, Algimun.®

Metabolisable energy 3466kcal/kg, protein 22%, fat 9%, fibre 10%, ash 8%, ORAC umol17000/kg*, calcium 20g/kg, phosphorus 10g/kg, chondroitin 2,699mg/kg*, vitamin C 360mg/kg*, vitamin A 11,642 RAE/kg

*Nutrients not recognised by AAFCO as essential.

Just add water, meat, mix and serve. When you're in the swing, you'll think it's as convenient as biscuits from a bag. (But better for health.)

You can also:

  • Make in bulk, and freeze.
  • Lightly cook with meat, with no impact on nutrition.

Most dogs love Bestie Allrounder. But if you're having trouble, try these tips:

  • Transition more slowly
  • Lightly fry to bring out the flavours
  • Add a little nutritional yeast - available from the supermarket
  • Mix in a little yoghurt

No you don't. When Bestie is added to muscle meat in the right quantities, it makes a complete and balanced meal. That said:

  • You can add up to 10% of the meal as offal, if you want to. But that's optional; it's not required.
  • If you're going to feed bones, don't add the bestie in that meal. We've already got calcium and phosphorous, covered.
  • If you want to add extra veg, you can, but again, that's optional and note required.

Hero ingredients

How much should I feed my dog?

For adult dogs, the Bestie Allrounder is always 5% of the meal. The overall quantity depends on the protein source. That's because different meat proteins provide a different amount of metabolisable energy. We take that into account, when we provide a feed guide.

The Allrounder is also suitable for puppies. But it's fed in a different ratio to adults. For puppies, Bestie Allrounder is always 10% of the meal.

The overall quantity will change too, because different meat proteins provide a different amount of metabolisable energy. We take that into account, when we provide a feed guide.

The feed calculator below is based on feeding your dog, twice a day. It shows a per meal quantity, in grams.

This means that a:

  • 350g pack will typically last a 10kg dog about 35 days, on beef
  • 1kg pack will last a 20kg dog about 50 days, on beef

What was the reason you switched to bestie...was there something going on health-wise?:: Adding individual supplements had become too much work.
Pups are looking good

Easy to add to their chicken mince. Gives me confidence their diet is healthy and sustaining, even rejuvenating. Also my miniature poodle has not had another ear infection since starting it, could be coincidence, but I am not stopping.

That's excellent; glad to hear it's working well for them and you!

Bestie is the Best!

My two Border Terriers are thriving on their diet of raw meat topped with the allrounder. They absolutely love it. No more diarrhoea, no more itchy allergy rashes or ear infections. They have never been healthier or happier. It's been 7 months now and we won't be going back to that horrible kibble.

That's fantastic Susan; I'm so happy to hear they're doing well and they love eating it.❤️

What was the reason you switched to bestie...was there something going on health-wise?:: i’ve been raw feeding for a while now and this is by far the easiest way to endure my dog is getting everything he needs

so easy to use and my dog loves it! it’s a nice feeling knowing that my dog is getting a balanced meal. would recommend to anyone that wants to raw feed their fur babies!

That's brilliant! Thanks so much for sharing that - you dog's a cutie! - and glad to hear it's working well. (And easy for you too.)

What was the reason you switched to bestie...was there something going on health-wise?:: We originally used VAN but after a bad bout of gastro when Kodak was 8 months old, he could no longer tolerate grains and most proteins.
Besite has become our bestie!

Kodak suffered a terrible bout of gastro after someone gave him processed meat at puppy school. He has always been raw-fed, but suddenly, he could not tolerate most proteins and the meal completer he was on. Someone put us onto Bestie Powder, and he has not looked back. Its blend is super delicate on his sensitive tum. Fast-forward 18 months, and Kodak has got most proteins back into his diet—and we still use Bestie every day!

That's brilliant! Well, not about the gastro in the first place but so glad bestie helped and is helping your boy..❤️

What was the reason you switched to bestie...was there something going on health-wise?:: Concern regarding increased inflammatory response to food. No abdominal or skin issues, more of a nagging though. I feel safer with the CSIRO input, and access to evidence-based publications tol.
Happy Girl

My occasionally food stubborn 8.5 year old Cattle X Lily, nearly licked through the bowl. She even came back later to check she hadn't missed anything. Her abdomen is less bloated post food and she is back to her energetic, lunatic self 😊

That's fantastic...so glad this is helping her and that she loves eating it!
