Transparency declaration- I’m a current Bestie customer, and have been for several years. One of my dogs is on the Skin Thera-Chews product to help her with her constant itching and chewing at her paws. This product, to be fair, didn’t make any significant change to the level of itching HOWEVER it DID clear all the red fur she had under her eyes and around her feet, and for that reason I have continued on with giving her these.
When these Biotics came along, I thought why not give these a try. They might be the extra boost of ingredients … of what’s missing … of that magic solution to ending the chewing. So for the past 5 weeks, I’ve been giving these to my dog who chews at her feet all the time, plus my other dog, who sometimes gets an upset gut, I thought she would benefit from these as well.
So for dog 2 - sensitive gut - these seem to be working well. She has probably only had one episode of an upset tummy since starting these.
As for my dog who is always chewing on her feet, sadly, so far, I don’t see a significant improvement. However, I know from past experience, that when she started on the Skin Chews, it wasn’t until the 2 month mark before the red fur staining disappeared. So for that reason, on we continue, waiting for that corner to be turned…
I will add that although neither of my dogs like these as a ‘treat’,they are soft enough to cut up and even crumble, and mix into their food. I appreciate how easy I can cut, mix and hide these. I’m now just crossing my fingers that I’ll start to see a change for the better, soon. It’s because of these things that I’m only giving these 3 stars … At this stage. As Amanda from Bestie knows, if they prove to stop the itching, I’ll be back to amend this review and upgrade my rating!🤩
