Bad breath is an important sign

Your dog's bad breath is mostly caused by oral bacteria and sometimes the gut, and can lead to more serious periodontal disease.

      Bad breath is common

By just two years of age, 80% of dogs have some form of periodontal disease (gum disease), with small and toy breed dogs, being particularly susceptible.

Bad breath is often the first sign of dental disease and up to the stage of severe gingivitis, it's reversible. Once it becomes moderate periodontitis, it's not.

      Plaque is a key cause

When plaque is allowed to build up on our pet’s teeth - and when it hardens it becomes tartar - it allows the bacteria within to produce the volatile sulphur compounds hydrogen sulphide and methyl mercaptan which contribute both to bad breath and periodontal disease. Bad breath can also be a sign of gut microbiome imbalance.

      Smooch

Super quick delivery , well packaged , brilliant product this is my third Smooch for my dog who’s 14. No more smelly breath. If I run out of jellies and don’t have time to quickly make them I sprinkle a small amount on to his food.

That's brilliant! So glad to hear.
